"All hail Crawford River Riesling! The top dog from the top dog! It’s magnificent. A schooling in riesling beauty, tension, texture, vitality, layers of fruit, spice, yeasty elements and a persistence that can’t be beat. If anything, a little more understated than other reserve rieslings from CR, not quite delicate but playing to a more gentle strength. Fragrant, with a fog of fruit and spice, flavoursome but in a sheath of lightly puckering texture. Stains the palate gently too. I like that the wine has character, not set to a standard, loaded with character. Vibrant through that great trail of the finish. Stellar stuff."

"Ultra-pale yellow colour. Lemon balm and toasting brioche aromatics. Lime curd, honey and brioche notes are melded together perfectly while fine acidity and hints of fruit sweetness ensure it carries a prodigious length. Not a hair out of place but still has years ahead of it. A seamless example of why riesling is such an amazing variety in this country."
