PRESS RELEASE - 21 FEBRUARY 2024

WSET announces first Australian beer course providers and Archive Academy is the first to advertise face to face and remote learning courses!

Graham Sutherland (DipWSET), Archive Academy and Archive Wine Bar Director (Geelong, VIC), said: “The introduction of WSET’s beer courses promises an exciting new chapter for the Australian beer industry. In alignment with WSET's broader mission, these courses will meet the demand for more formal education to bolster expertise and confidence.

“Collaboration with breweries and beer appreciation groups will foster knowledge, opportunities and drive new growth within the industry. Furthermore, the hospitality sector stands to gain immensely, as trained experts equipped with fundamental understanding and a shared language will engage customers with confidence. We are so excited to be part of this landmark initiative to help shape a more informed, dynamic and sustainable beer sector for the future.”

Archive Academy is a wine education institution located above Archive Wine Bar in Geelong, Victoria.
We offer face to face courses in our classroom and we travel to regional areas of Victoria to bring drinks education to hospitality professionals and drinks enthusiasts. Our mission is to increase knowledge and confidence about various drinks by providing flexible opportunities to access beer, wine and spirits education.
We believe anyone should be able to study beer, wine and spirits qualifications from anywhere in Australia or the rest of the world and invite you to review our WSET Online Classroom course timetable offered through Archive Academy.

“I did my WSET Level 2 spirits course through Archive and I must say, I was super impressed in all aspects. Ingrid was super responsive, very informative and guided me through all the necessary steps needed.

If you're considering a WSET course, look no further, you will be very satisfied.” Jim C, February 2024
